August mini calendars are getting printed at Littleton Office Supply, Inc.! We keep telling ourselves to slow down and enjoy summer but keep on planning cool stuff to do. The last Littleton Cultural Arts Commission First Friday Arts on Aug 2 will be really fun. We will have a table set up and will be doing a raffle for a cute red ukulele donated from Northern Lights Music. Music from Mal Maïz and Pablo Flores will be amazing.
Stand Up Comedy Open Mic on Aug 6 Tuesday continues to be a really fun and funny hang. If you have ever had a fantasy about doing stand up, this is your chance to take a chance in front of a (mostly) supportive crowd. Cobra Fantastic returns on Thur Aug 15th for a night of absolutely shredding and facemelting tunes that run the gamut from Sun Ra to Zappa to Pfunk.

Aug 17 spend an evening with Charlotte Rae an up and coming solo artist from the NEK also lead singer in Tech Diffs. Queer Artist Gathering has been a real bright spot for us with lots of hope and combined art making and community connections. Everyone is an artist in their own way, explore expressing yourself with other people. We are experimenting with an Open Jam session on the last Wednesday of the month and wondering what musicians are out there that would like to create sonic landscapes that have never been created before. Will see, will you join? All ability levels welcome.
Finishing out the August of Awesomeness is a really stacked bill featuring our favorite NYC DIY rockers, Tetchy! Lets just say you will be lucky to catch this band in a room our size in a year. Experience them while you can. While you’re at it make sure to check out doug. they absolutely blew our minds when they played a blistering set at the LD last year, we are super looking forward to having them back.
